The Mircom Group of Companies expands into the Florida Fire Market
by reinvigorating a 37-year industry veteran: “A-1 Fire & Security LLC”
Niagara Falls, New York – February 6, 2012 – The Mircom Group of Companies (“MGC”) is pleased
to announce that it has acquired the assets, and re-employed former employees of A-1 Fire and
Electric Company, an amalgam of A-1 Fire Equipment, Corp., A-1 Electric Company, and A.B.A.
Fire Equipment, Inc., effective February 2, 2012. The new company will be known as A-1 Fire &
Security LLC., (“A-1”), will remain headquartered out of Miami, Florida and will be branded with the
corporate logo pictured immediately below:
Established in 1974, A-1 Fire & Security LLC has been serving Southern Florida as a major distributor
and service provider for a broad range of fire detection, alarm and suppression products and services
including fire alarms, fire sprinkler systems, electrical services, fire alarm monitoring, automatic fire
suppression systems, fire extinguishers, emergency and exit lights, smoke/duct detectors and
emergency generators.
A mainstay of A-1’s business are restaurants and condominium complexes, however A-1’s customers
span various industry verticals including Hospitality, Financial Services, Retail, Academic Institutions and
School Boards. As a proud member of the Greater Miami Area, A-1 continues to serve its community by
providing employment opportunities for inner city residents, a diverse work force and a stimulus for
change within the community as a whole.

As CEO & Secretary of A-1 Fire & Security LLC, Henry Schnurbach, will represent MGC’s interests to
effect a seamless transition and oversee the ongoing day-to-day operations of the new company.
