The Mircom Group of Companies, a global provider of advanced fire life safety systems and communication products is pleased to announce that the Mircom FleX-Net™ and FX-2000 Series Intelligent Fire Alarm Control Panels have achieved seismic testing certification.
The fire alarm control panels were tested by National Technical Systems (NTS) of Fullerton, California to the ICC-ES AC-156, November 2010 Standard and the 2010 California Building Code. With the assistance of structural engineering firm, Forell/Elsesser Engineers, the Mircom Group was able to secure OSP certification. The Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) is the California government agency which issues the Special Seismic Certification pre-approval document.
This testing is very new and the Mircom Group is proud to provide a solution for geographic regions which may require seismic tested fire alarm panels. Properties that may require this type of approval include schools, hospitals, emergency communication centers, aviation terminals and power generating stations.
The FleX-Net™ and FX-2000 Series Intelligent Fire Alarm Control Panels offer modular components to meet a wide variety of applications. The FX-2000 Series is designed for standalone applications while the FleX-Net™ Series supports peer-to-peer network communications.
