Vaughan, ON, October
11, 2006 – Mircom is pleased to announce our appointment as
the exclusive North American manufacturer of the Fire-Link® product
line. Mircom has also been granted distribution rights for the
Fire-Link® product line in the U.S.A. and exclusive
distribution rights in Canada. The products will be marketed by
Mircom under the brand name “Fire-Link by Mircom”.
“We are very pleased to be
working with the largest independent manufacturer and distributor of
fire life safety products in North America” said Ed Alfke, Chief
Executive Officer, Signalink Technologies Inc. “Mircom’s experience
and knowledge in the fire alarm industry, along with their extensive
distribution network and support infrastructure made them a logical
partner for this exciting innovation.”
The Fire-Link®
product addresses the major industry issue of sufficient in-suite
audibility. The Fire-Link® product is primarily targeted
at retrofit compliance with mandatory Building and Fire Codes.
Unlike traditional hardwired install solutions, the Fire-Link®
product allows property owners to quickly and cost effectively
comply with audibility regulation with minor tenant disruption and
minimal installation intrusion.
“Mircom is very excited to
offer a unique solution for the in-suite audibility issue” said Bob
Niergarth, Senior Vice-President, Mircom Technologies Ltd.
“Collaborating with an innovative partner such as Signalink
re-enforces our commitment to deliver advanced life safety solutions
to our customers.”
