Vaughan, ON – The Mircom Group of Companies, a global provider of advanced fire life safety systems and communication products is pleased to announce that the Mircom UDACT-300A Digital Alarm Communicator has been enhanced with additional modes of operation when used with the FX-2000 or FleX-Net intelligent fire alarm control panels.
Some of the major enhancements to the UDACT-300A include:
- New ZDACT feature that allows the UDACT-300A to support software zones. Using the Dialer configuration utility, inputs circuits on the FX-2000 or FleX-Net panel can be grouped into software zones to allow the UDACT-300A to report individual input events as group events.
- Event number offset for output circuit numbers. This feature provides the ability to differentiate between input and output circuits solely on the basis of circuit number that are transmitted by the UDACT-300A. Using this attribute, each circuit has a unique circuit number that is transmitted to the monitoring station.
- Override feature. This allows the device type to be changed from the standard input type on the fire alarm control panel to a pre-defined input type that is sent to the monitoring station. For example, a monitor input device type can be changed to a pull station for reporting purposes; a photo duct detector can be reported as a photo duct and not a spot detector, etc. Any applicable Contact ID output reporting is available.
- Choice of reporting structure. This new feature allows the UDACT-300A to report either the circuit number or the combination of the loop number and address in its report. The report structure varies depending on the reporting protocol (Contact ID or SIA) that is used.
With the addition of these new modes of operation, the UDACT-300A provides greater flexibility when used with Mircom’s FX-2000 or FleX-Net intelligent fire alarm control panels.
