TOPIC: Synchronized signals in a network

Synchronized signals in a network 2 Years, 7 Months ago
In a network application, or where multiple remote signal boosters are being installed, strobes and/or horns from different supplies may be audible/visible from a single location. This may apply on assembly occupancies (eg arenas) or on large shopping centres.

Other than running additional conductors between the signal boosters, is there any way to keep the signals synchronized?

The only way to synchronize all the horn/strobes using multiple BPS-602, BPS-802 or BPS-1002 boosters is to interconnect 2-wires between the boosters; then program the first booster ( master) with the desired sync protocol; Mircom, System Sensor, Gentex etc.

Program all interconnected boosters (slaves) to “Input to Output Follower Mode”. This method allows the first booster to act as a master and all interconnected slave boosters will follow the master sync protocol.

Please refer to the BPS-602, BPS-802 and BPS-1002 application manual 101508 for programming and terminal designations.

How about when using the BPS-1100?

The BPS-1100 is approved to be sold for the Canadian market only; the BPS-1100 does not have any built in synchronization protocol. If the BPS-1100 is used with horn/strobes, you must use the SDM-240 sync module.
